So these last few days have been the least motivated days I have had in a long time.
In my mock exams, I got a B (Psychology) which is great but then I got two E’s (Sociology and Biology). And as much as I know that these grades do not matter and do not go towards anything, it has definitely decreased by high motivation levels that I usually have.
As some of you may know, my future plans are to go to University to study Psychology and then to move on to become a Clinical or an Educational Psychologist. And I need the motivation to do this as I need all C’s in my exams to get into the University of Buckingham. These mock grades have put me down to the point that I have started questioning whether University is the place for me in the end.
My future has become fragmented. I no longer have a clear plan about what I wish to do as I do not believe that I can get there. My mum has said to see how the actual exam goes and make a plan from there, which I am agreeing with for now. However, I do not want to stress myself out and ruin my mental health at the moment trying to get a place at the University that I wish to go to.
My plan is to:
- Complete A levels with at least all D’s in each subject
- If I get into University, then carry on with the career path that I had originally intended to
- If not, then I will look for an apprenticeship in something which interests me (God only knows what)
But the message here is. To keep going. Always. No matter what kicks you down. When you are in your deepest hole to do with your educational potential, YOU CAN ONLY GO UP FROM HERE!!
